About

Dr. Abiy Worku is a Trauma and Arthroplasty Orthopedic Surgeon with specialized expertise in complex musculoskeletal conditions and advanced orthopedic surgery. He completed his medical degree at Addis Ababa University and his Orthopedic Surgery residency at the Addis Ababa University Department of Orthopedic Surgery in 2017. In 2022/23, he completed an International Fellowship in Trauma and Arthroplasty at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas, USA. Dr. Abiy serves as an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Saint Paul’s Millennium Medical College and also provides specialized orthopedic care in private hospitals. His areas of expertise include complex trauma, pelvic and acetabular fractures, hip and knee disorders, and hip and knee replacement surgery. He also performs minimally invasive orthopedic procedures designed to reduce pain, shorten hospital stays, and support faster recovery. With a patient-centered approach and a commitment to evidence-based, high-quality care, Dr. Abiy combines advanced surgical techniques with comprehensive diagnosis and pain management to help patients regain mobility and return to the activities they value.
